ARC Studios

The creative partners at ARC Studios, Chris Outlaw and Denise Hughes, have produced artwork from historical source material and presented it within contemporary art vocabulary to create four bold silkscreen prints. They are developments of early 18th century botanical line engravings, which have been enlarged, reworked and block-coloured to produce a dramatic modern twist to the concept of botanical illustration. The hand-pulled silkscreen printing process bestows strength and vitality of colour to these larger than life, vibrant prints.
