AUGUST GOLDFUSS

Georg August Goldfuss was born in Bayreuth in 1782. He is famous for his Naturalist Atlas, a large, extensive collection of beautifully detailed lithographs of animals, fish, birds, reptiles and insects. The work was published over twenty years in Dusseldorf between 1824 and 1842.
